Menomonee Falls

Passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026. Age 87. 

Beloved wife for 68 years of the late Willis G.  “Willie” McCalligan who passed away on August 12, 2024.  Dear mother of David (Lori) McCalligan, Tina (David) Polk and Patrick (Michelle) McCalligan.  Loving grandmother of Samuel (Michelle) Polk, Jacob (Susan) Polk, Kelli Ann McCalligan, Brianna (Rawi) Khateeb and Patrick Schwabe and others; along with great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.  

Preceded in death by her husband, Willis; her parents, William and Esther Merriman; and her daughter, Gerry (Michael) Schwabe.   

Willis and Renda were married on January 1, 1956.   In 1973, their family business known as Hanson Soft Water began. They moved their business several times over the years and finally settled at their current location in Menomonee Falls.  In 1999, their children took over Hanson Soft Water and the business continues to this day.
