Sue was born in 1943 in Milwaukee, WI to Dorothy and Al and grew up with her siblings Ron, Nan, and Mary. She worked in banking and as a bookkeeper. She married and had 2 children, Todd and Jill. She went back to school as an adult to get her Associates Degree in Accounting and then worked at several CPA offices and an insurance brokerage. She loved being a grandmother and doted on her grandchildren, Sean, Ellie, and Carson. She later in life found her soul mate, Don and were married 20 years. They met dancing and continued to enjoy round dancing and square dancing for many years together. They enjoyed traveling and going on bus trips. Don’s family became her family. She surrounded herself with many long term and new friends.

Sue was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor, and friend. Everyone called her “the nicest lady”, whether they knew her for an hour or her whole life.

Sue loved her family and friends, always put others before herself and forever was taking care of everyone she met. She was always thinking how to help others, worrying and praying for them, and picking the perfect gift for them. She was interested in learning about others and their lives and made them feel important, included, and that their voice was heard. She loved making her special cards with many stickers for others for every occasion just to let them know she was thinking about them.

Sue was a life long learner. She called herself a “history buff” and loved researching any topic she came across in her day. She spent long nights on the internet and reading books saying she “was on a roll” and couldn’t stop. She enjoyed researching and preparing Bible studies to find just the right one for her friends and how to make it relevant to all their lives.

Sue had a quiet strength in which she dealt with difficult times. She went back to school. She started her life anew. She held steadfast through Don’s illness and passing. She especially showed her perseverance during her 2.5 year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Through it all, Sue had a strong faith which she loved to share with others. Her belief in God is what kept her going through all her trials. She looked forward to heaven and to be reunited with her beloved Don. She is at peace.

We all have had our lives enriched, because we knew Sue. We are made better people, because we had Sue in our lives.

We love you and miss you.
