My sincere condolences to the Schwister family on the passing of Gene. I recall my Dad's 1962 Ford Galaxie 2-door having the "Schwister" emblem on the back of the car that had the shifter on the column. I've mingled a bit with Gene at various car shows, myself having 2 Superformance Cobras. Gene will be deeply missed but fondly remembered!

We are sorry to hear of Gene’s passing. He was a kind and gentle soul who loved racing and hot rods and all the people he knew that were involved with the sport. We were so honored to have restored Mouse’s #8 car which Gene built. Gene was a great car builder. We could not make the funeral service, but hope to attend the celebration of life when it’s scheduled.

I had recently talked with Gene last month at the Hartford Auto Muesum at one of there events. Was always wanting to chat with him. We talked about Gene and Miles sitting in the stands at Slinger, I would always make sure that I would stop there and chat with those two. Memories are and will be always there. Will miss him.
