Frank George Rappold

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully at the age of 91, on March 7, 2026.

Frank was an only child born in Chicago to Frank and Gabrielle Rappold.  Frank joined the Army during WWII directly after high school.  He was stationed in Germany as a cold weather mountain specialist. While in Germany he met and married his first wife, Rita and brought her home to the States.  They lived in Chicago where he was an electrician. Eventually they moved to Lake Geneva, WI.  Rita died at the young age of 53yrs.  They had been married 30+ years and lived a loving full life together.  He is survived by their two children, Diane (Ken) Braunschweig and Rick (Amy) Rappold.

Frank met his second wife, Ruth Rzepecki.  They lived on Lake Beulah where they were avid sailors.  Frank and Ruth loved to travel and went around the world experiencing amazing things and fully enjoying life together.  Ruth passed on March 8, 2025.  They had been married 33 fully lived years.  He is survived by Ruth’s amazing loving children, Jay (Jill) Rzepecki, Jim (Mary) Rzepecki, Sue (Dale) Kanies, Wendy (Jim) Pearson, Tad (Joni) Rzepecki.  He was gifted with ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by his love and support.

Frank was an outdoors person.  His happy place was being outside especially by water.  Frank loved:  taking walks and enjoying nature, dogs, reading, sailing, swimming, water and snow skiing, boating, tennis, watching birds, cross country skiing, family, German food, chocolate and anything sweet.  Frank was also a small plane pilot.

Frank was an amazing woodworker and would spend much of his time creating beautiful wood bowls, wooden ornaments, and tables.  He was a master with wood and could also fix and build just about anything.

Frank was kind, grateful and had a wonderful sense of humor.  He touched many lives and will be remembered with great fondness and love.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Elite Hospice and Heritage Senior Living Muskego for the extraordinary care and compassion their amazing caregivers provided to our beloved Frank.

A private family celebration will be held for Frank at a later date.
