Frank Buckle Jr passed peacefully Monday, February 16, 2026, surrounded by family after a long battle with COPD. A relentless lover of life, Frank was known for his quick wit, ability to make a friend, passion for music, and just being an overall good guy. He loved watching the Packers, spending time with his family and friends, sharing a laugh, and enjoying time at his cabin in Michigan.  

An avid skier, Frank went on countless trips with family and friends to Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and Utah. The outdoors, the West in particular, brought him great joy and comfort throughout his life. 

Frank is preceded in death by his longtime friend and partner Barbara Hanger as well as his sisters Nancy Buckle and Janet O’Neill.

He is survived by his son Maxwell (Angela Tucker) Buckle, his siblings Barbara Seitz, Robert (Peggy) Buckle, Mary Lane (Gerry DeMilt), Linda Crego, Rose (George) Solinger and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

There will be a celebration of Frank’s life later this year with details to follow.
