Our dearest beloved, Betty Allen born to eternal life on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the age of 76. Betty dedicated over 30 years at Saint John’s on the lake as a caregiver providing quality care to the elderly in which many became just like family. Betty leaves behind countless memories of her life and travels. She was known as the matriarch of the family, and the life of the party. A woman of boundless creativity, Betty was well known for her beaded masterpieces, whether she was crafting a delicate necklace for her grandchild or a bold statement piece for the ladies or even herself, her jewelry was colorful and unique just as her personality was, to wear a piece of her jewelry was to wear a piece of her heart. Her sense of humor was legendary. She found a reason to laugh in any situation and often kept the family filled with laughter with the unexpected, but perfectly time jokes she was a funny lady and that she was in every way, She made jokes that could turn a bad day into good one. When she wasn’t at her crafting table she was exploring new places of the world, often with her dearest pet, her loving companion Lady Bug who accompanied her on every encounter. She lived for the journey, always returning with fun, souvenirs and a suitcase full of stories and maybe even more beads to create new projects with.
She is survived by her loving family; her children, Lorraine Purnell, Tyrone Allen, Victoria Reed (Darron Reed) and Richard Allen; her significant other Donald Ernesti and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
