Anita Ward, (nee Vollmer), peacefully entered into eternal life on January 30th, 2026, at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by Leland Ward (Lee), her loving husband of 65 years.
She is survived by her beloved children, Michael, Nancy, David, Alan and their spouses. She will be greatly missed by her five grandchildren. The eldest of four sisters, Anita is further survived by Sr. Marilyn, SSM and Kathi, and was preceded by in death by Sr. Nancy, SSM.
Anita was a devout Catholic. God, her faith and her family were the foundation and joy of her life.
She will be missed by all who knew her. She was a long time member of the Mequon – Thiensville community.
She loved travel, the beauty of nature, and enjoyed both creating and appreciating art.
Hosting family and friends around the dining table was one of her great pleasures.
Mass of Christian Burial at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2750 W. Mequon Road, Saturday, Feb 21st, 11:30 am with visitation from 10:00 to time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Franciscan Courts, Oshkosh WI, or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation are appreciated.
