Robert "Rob" Kramer
September 7, 1950 - February 4, 2026
        

Robert S. Kramer (Rob) of Menomonee Falls, WI, passed peacefully on February 4, 2026. He was raised in Elgin, Illinois by his parents Robert B and Dorthy Kramer who preceded him in death. A graduate of Elgin High School, Arizona State University, and John Marshall Law School. He resided in Elgin until his retirement.

He began his 40-year law career with his father and uncle before forming Bazos, Freeman and Kramer law firm. He was a former member of the Illinois Bar Association and Elgin Rotary Club. As a member of First United Methodist Church of Elgin, he served as treasurer, participated with the handbell choir, and worked on various committees.

A passionate golfer, his favorite expression was “If you play golf, you are my friend”. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge of the game and gave it freely. Competitive by nature, he thrived on the “friendly” competition among his many friends. He won the Elgin City Tournament on his wedding day and was a three-time former Elgin Country Club Champion. He was beloved by many that came across his path due to his unique charm, sense of humor, and zest for life.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Connie (nee Bohlin), daughter Alison (Chris) Giese, son Andy (LeAnn) Kramer, and his 4 grandchildren: Meredith & Nate Giese, and Addelyn & Andrew Kramer. He is further survived by his sister: Ann (Ron) Riebock, brothers-in-law: Dan (Jean) Bohlin and Jeffrey (Peg) Bohlin, sisters-in-law: Valerie (Rodger) Smeets and Kristina (Kevin) Bohlin, and 12 nieces & nephews.
