Marjorie A. Volke (nee Seelig)
August 16, 1941 - January 27, 2026
        

Died at her home in Mequon on January 27, 2026, with her husband by her side.  Born on August 16, 1941, in Milwaukee.  After graduating from Whitefish Bay High School, Marjorie earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin.  She was a devoted stay-at-home mom who was supportive of her children’s activities, whether it was academics or athletics.  She was always someone her kids could go to for love, comfort, and advice.  Majorie joined Tom on many beer and brewing adventures.  

Survived by her husband of 63 years, Thomas, children Robert Volke (Karen Warf), Cynthia (David) Stott, and Jennifer Volke, and grandchildren Zachary and Trevor (Kendall) Volke; siblings Claudette (the late John) Bolling, Annette (the late Marvin) Friedewald, Dan (BJ) Belzer, and sister-in-law Jean (the late Jim) Volke as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents Eugene Seelig, Mildred Seelig Belzer, and Albin M. Belzer, as well as her brother Richard (the late Kathryn) Seelig.

Visitation will take place from 4 PM until the time of a Remembrance Service at 6 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, 10280 N. Port Washington Road in Mequon.  Entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marjorie’s honor to the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin or ALS Association of Wisconsin.
