Delores A. "Del" Duwe
November 25, 1928 - January 24, 2026

Was Born to Eternal Life on January 24, 2026, at the age of 97. She was born in Unity Wisconsin on November 25, 1928, a daughter of Emil and Rose Martens. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl Duwe whom she celebrated over 60 years of marriage, loving mother of Barbara (Timothy) Laken; and special friend with long-time neighbors (The Rohlfing Family). Del is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Carl; parents Emil and Rose Martens; brother, John Martens; and sisters, Pauline Kuester, Caroline Martens, and Bernice Roth.

Del grew up on the Martens Roth Family Farm in Unity, Wisconsin, where her love for animals, hard work, and sense of adventure was nurtured. She took great pride in the family legacy. She moved to Milwaukee for a job at Brady Wash Fountain. A dedicated employee, she then worked for Honey Acres for over 30 years where she held a sales position and was joyfully delivering that golden goodness well into her eighties, in her red convertible. Del was known for her love of hosting and planning parties. With her quick wit and spunky spirit, she would whip together some of her mom’s favorite recipes when entertaining. An avid sports fan, she participated in the Milwaukee Braves fan club and was a season ticket holder for the Packers. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, where she gained notoriety for her almost perfect game.  Her home in Sussex was deeply loved, a place where she enjoyed memories with neighbors, friends, and family where she cultivated beautiful gardens and yard. She also enjoyed feeding and watching birds, traveling, and taking cruises with her family and friends.
