Roger D. Meier, age 90, died January 16, 2026 in Menomonee Falls, WI. Roger was born on September 7, 1935 to Arthur and Louise Meier at their home above their grocery store in Holway, near Medford, WI. When Roger was nine years old, his family moved to a farm near Withee, WI. He attended grade school and high school at Withee, WI. He attended UW-Superior for one year, then transferred to UW Madison and graduated in February 1958 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked at Square D Company in Milwaukee, WI for 33 ½ years.

He was married to Doree Hawks, also of Withee, on June 16, 1956 at the First Congregational Church (now United Church of Christ), Owen, WI.

Roger is survived by his wife, Doree, of Menomonee Falls, three children: Loree (Bill) Meier, Stevens Point, WI, Scott (Kathleen) Meier, Minneapolis, MN, and Jason (Melissa) Meier, Germantown, WI. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Calvin (Jennifer), Beau (Jocelyn), Olivia (Nick), Jasmin (Johnathon), and four great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Arwen, Isabel, and Cosette.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald, Eugene, and Donald (Judy) Meier.

Roger’s interests were reading, gardening, traveling and woodworking. Roger and Doree traveled extensively within the United States, including Hawaii and took several trips to Europe.

Roger and his wife, Doree, have lived in Menomonee Falls since 1962. They have both always considered Withee to be their home-town and have returned many times through the years to visit their parents. Their children also enjoyed visiting their grandparents, Arthur and Louise Meier and Donald and Ruth Hawks in Withee.

Memorial services are pending at this time.  Inurnment will be at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Withee, WI.
