Peter Kent Wittmann
October 1, 1937 - January 12, 2026
        

Peter Kent Wittmann, 88, of Mequon, a beloved husband, father, brother-in-law, and uncle, passed away on January 12th, 2026. He was born on October 1st, 1937, in Jamestown, North Dakota, to Bernard Wittmann and Dolores Neth. Kent is survived by his dear wife Joan; children Kelly Wittmann-Gentleman (Michael), Heather Wittmann (Frederick Hutt), and Jason Wittmann; and many other relatives and friends.

After graduating from St. Catherine’s High School in Racine, Kent attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he explored his love of the arts and engineering, and rowed crew. He then served his country in the National Guard during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Professionally, Kent joined his father at Milwaukee Machine Products Co. in Mequon, eventually rising to the position of CEO. He later founded Custom Molded Plastics in Menomonee Falls.

Kent was a gifted photographer who especially enjoyed capturing the outdoors, nature, and animals. He also loved golfing, attending Austin-Healey Club events and aviation exhibitions with his son, traveling in America and the UK/Ireland, and making precious memories with Joan and the many friends who always surrounded them. A member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Mequon, Kent was a devout Christian who is now resting in the arms of the Lord.

Visitation will be at Crossroads Presbyterian Church,6031 W. Chapel Hill Road, Mequon on Wednesday, January 21st at 10:30 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 AM.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the fourth-floor hematology ward at the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center for their compassion and kindness to our husband and father.
