Hoefert, James W. December 20, 2025. Born in Milwaukee, WI January 27, 1950. Jim happily lived in Whitewater with Marlene and her son Don for many years. Jim peacefully passed away at home with Don at his side. Jim proudly served in the Army as an ACAV driver during Vietnam War from 9/10/1969 to 9/1/1971, achieving the rank of E4. Jim was very proud of the US Army’s 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment (ACR), the highly decorated Black Horse Regiment. Survived by his dear brother John (Elaine) Hoefert, and sisters Judy Morgan and Jodine (Bill) Dehli, brother-in-law Robert Conti and good friend Don Molisee. Also survived by 6 nephews, 7 nieces, several great-nieces and nephews and many cousins. Preceded in death by his father Kenneth (Jack) Hoefert, mother Dorothy Hoefert, sister Jane (David) Nordstrom and significant other Marlene Molisee.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29th at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home (10121 W. North Ave, Wauwatosa, WI 53226) from 5:00 pm until the time of funeral service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 30th from 8:30 am until 9:30 am. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery (6400 W Burleigh St, Milwaukee, WI 53210)
