To the Family of John Bruns,
I had the honor of working with John as a Trooper with the Wisconsin State Patrol in the early 1980s. I saw firsthand his professionalism and commitment to service as a law enforcement officer. John was one of the most trusted and respected Troopers I have ever known. I always enjoyed my visits to the US Federal Courthouse in Madison when he worked in court security and sharing stories with him from our days with the WSP. May John rest in peace and his family and friends know how much he meant to those of us who he worked with over his distinguished career.

What a beautiful obituary and tribute to Mr. Bruns. My deepest sympathies to Mrs. Bruns, Jeff, Stephanie and the entire Bruns family. We lost my dad 3 years ago in December and know how especially heartbreaking that feels right now before the holidays. Holding you all in thought & prayer.
