Jayne Rosemary Mannina of East Troy WI, and beloved wife of Mike, passed away on December 2, 2025. She was 77 years old.
Jayne was born on August 13, 1948, in Chicago IL to parents Rosemary Joann (nee Swansen) and John Richard Hertzler Jr.
In addition to her loving husband Mike, Jayne is survived by sister Jerice Cetroli and nephews Richard and Robert Cetroli; sister Joanne (Terry) Peterson, nieces Kristen (Nick) Johnson Laing, Heather, and Heidi (Mike) Johnson, and nephew Mark (Tris) Johnson; sister-in-law Nellie Hertzler and nephews David (Mary) and Jay (Heather) Hertzler. Also left to cherish her memory are special Uncle Chuck Swansen Sr., other family and friends.
Jayne was preceded in death by her brother John (Nellie) Hertzler and niece Jimma Hertzler.
Right out of high school, Jayne started working for AT&T…she loved her job and remained employed there for over 30 years.
Although a bit of a worry wart, Jayne is described as a “take charge” (in the nicest kind of way) and feisty woman who lived a life of purpose and intention. She wasn’t afraid of hard work, often helping her husband make tough decisions. It was in her generous nature to “take care of things” and look after those she loved.
With much laughter and a great sense of humor, Jayne loved watching a good comedy. She also enjoyed boating and playing the piano - the same piano that was played by her great grandmother and gifted to her. Feeding and admiring the hummingbirds as they fluttered at the fountain in her yard brought Jayne great joy. They, like her, are reminders to savor life’s sweetness.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9 at 11AM, followed by a memorial service at 1PM at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Mukwonago (930 Main St).
