Millie and I have been friends for over 50 years. We talked twice a year on each of our Birthdays. This year she called me several day before mine !!/17. She left a message saying call her back, but don't wait too long. I called she told me she was dying. She told me she was ready. I told her I loved her. We said good bye. Blessing and peace to all she loved.

I was very sorry to hear of Willie's passing. I used to golf with her. In these past years I was her scrabble and words with friends buddy online.I sure will miss our games. She was a good opponent. May she rest in peace.

I worked as a nurse with Millie at St. Joe’s in Labor and Delivery from 1977-1986. We worked the night shift, along with our wonderful night shift team, and spent almost every holiday together. Millie was a friend, a mentor, and someone I could always rely on. I had my two kids during that time, and Millie provided me with sage parenting advice that I often quoted. We’ve stayed in touch over the years, and she has continued to serve as a role model of how to age gracefully yet live life fully. Millie made a huge impact on my life and I’ll always remember her with fondness and love.

I truly enjoyed getting to know Millie these last few years, and talking with her about family and the wedding of Molly and Royce. It was so evident how much she loved her family! I am praying for all of you in your sorrow, but giving thanks to God for the blessing in your lives of such a loving mother and grandmother!
