Lori A. Becker (nee Pierce)
July 31, 1961 - November 8, 2025

Lori Ann Becker (64) passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, after a courageous journey with dementia.  She was the beloved mother of Bailey (Brian) Avers and Robert Becker, and cherished grandmother to Andi Christine, Austin James, and Adley Jon Avers.

In addition to her loving parents Raymond and Lorraine Pierce, Lori was preceded in death by Bailey and Robert's father Robert “Andy” Becker.

Born and raised in Illinois, Lori was the youngest of six children.  She attended Illinois State University where she earned her degree in Psychology and later completed her master’s degree at Roosevelt University.  Lori dedicated more than 15 years of her career to the DuPage County Health Department as a counselor, where she made a lasting impact on countless children and adolescents through her deep compassion and commitment to emotional and physical well-being.  In her later years, she followed her passion further by opening her own private counseling practice where she continued to support adults through life’s challenges with empathy and grace.

Lori had an unwavering dedication to health and wellness.  She found joy in Pilates, yoga, and cooking nourishing meals.  Her energy was vibrant. She loved to dance as if no one was watching, and her laughter and smile could light up any room. Lori will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and her incredible ability to listen—qualities that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Her legacy lives on in the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the family she cherished beyond measure.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22 at 9:30AM, followed by a memorial service at 10:30AM at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home (930 Main St).

“Of all the gifts that life has to offer, a loving mother is the greatest of them all”
