Edwin "Eddie" Maison
October 22, 1970 - September 27, 2025

No matter the situation, when you met Eddie you walked away with a new friend. His smile and humor made anyone feel comfortable and welcomed into his world. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by him.

A love of working with wood and other materials led him to be a tradesman. He truly enjoyed what his knowledge and hands could build or repair. He was a member of the Union of Benevolent Electrical Workers (UBEW) and worked underground directional boring while in Traverse City, Michigan. Later he joined the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC). He moved to Wisconsin in order for him to work as a carpenter at the Columbia Saint Mary Hospital. As a lead carpenter at Boldt, Ed worked primarily at Children's Wisconsin Hospital and more recently on Froedtert Health Birthing Center expansion.

Ed’s carpentry skills are apparent in his home as well as those of his friends and family. Whether it was a quick fix or tackling the large jobs, Ed was one to jump and help whenever needed.

Outside of work Ed’s adventurous side had him enjoying the outdoors. If it was a beautiful day you would find him riding his Harley Davidson. As an avid rider, Ed enjoyed the open road exploring news areas of Wisconsin with his wife and friends. He also started camping, rooting the Lions on, and catching a baseball game for the Tigers or the Brewers.

Edwin Francis Maison was born October 22, 1970 and left this world on September 27, 2025 due to a motorcycle accident. Eddie, as he was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and a sense of adventure.

Ed leaves behind his loving wife Heather Hall Maison, who he cherished and loved unconditionally, and their dog Radar, who will miss his frisbee throwing buddy. Eddie was the son of Dave (Gail) Maison. Dave was his biggest supporter and looked forward to hearing about his life. He kept a close, special relationship with his sister Jill Williams and her husband Jim who he lovingly referred to as simply Brother-in-law. Their children, Amanda (Jason) Deater and Josh (Whitney) Williams held a special place in his heart.

Ed is also survived by his son Gunner Maison, two brothers Scott (Bailan) Bukowiecki and Todd (Jane) Bukowiecki, mother-in-law Vickie Hall, sisters-in-laws Cammie (Heath) Hall, Kelly (Brad) Cites, and Stacy Hall, several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, and his extended family Richard Bukowiecki.

He was preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Marry, father-in-law Bill Hall, grandmother and grandfather Karlene and Edwin Sedlacek, and his great-niece Arianna Deater, and his beloved companion Juan.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Visitation starts at noon and services begin at 2:00 pm at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral home, W250 N6505 Hwy. 164, Sussex, Wisconsin 53089. Ed would want you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, preferably Lions gear, but a Detroit Tiger or Milwaukee Brewers hat would not be frowned on either. Please join the family after the service at Bixenberg Tavern N112W21209 Mequon Rd, Germantown, Wisconsin 53022 to raise a toast to a life cut tragically short.
