Went home to the Lord on September 6, 2025. Age 60 years. Loving husband of Becky (Dziewa) for 32 years. Dear brother of Mark (fiance Kris Dzekute) Janz. Further survived by his nephew, Nick, other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation for Michael will be held on Friday October 3, 2025 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 208 E. Washington St., Slinger from 4-4:45 PM. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Church at 5 PM. Father Richard J. Stoffel will be presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Washington County Humane Society at https://wchspets.org/donate/, the Wounded Warrior Project , if you would like to plant a tree in honor of Mike or donations to the family would be appreciated.

Mike graduated from Germantown High School in 1983 and was an accomplished wrestler. He attended UW-West Bend and went on to attend Mankato State. After college he worked at Coca-Cola as a route salesman but left after a few years to start his career as a carpenter with Local 2283 Carpenters Union. He loved being a carpenter and was so very proud to be able to say that he built our house.

In his earlier years he loved to go out west to Colorado to hunt elk and mule deer with his lifelong friends. He loved his walleye fishing trips to Lake Erie and our annual whitetail deer hunts with his brother Mark, and friends in Iron River and Ashland.

Mike enjoyed watching and going to see the Packers, Brewers, and Badger football team. He loved March Madness and he watched any race or sport. He especially loved watching the Big 10 wrestling matches, which he had on "auto record" on the TV.

Mike had to retire from his career as a carpenter due to a brain bleed in 2016. Then in 2022 he developed diverticulitis. The limitations that these conditions put on him were a hard adjustment for him. Even with his limitations he had a huge heart and loved to buy gifts, for no reason, for family and friends just because he thought they would appreciate it. He truly will be missed.
