Charmaine Lynn Duehring (nee Sherman)
September 23, 1951 - September 7, 2025

Charmaine Lynn Duehring (Sherman), 73, of Colgate, WI passed away on September 7th at 1pm on a beautiful afternoon after a 7-month battle with cancer. She was with her immediate family at her peaceful time of passing.

Charmaine was born September 23rd, 1951, in Port Washington, WI, the daughter of Robert (Bud) and Arline Sherman (Dumann). She graduated from Germantown High School in 1969 with her sweetheart and future husband of 51 years, Jack Duehring. She worked to put herself through college, graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with a degree in Childhood Education.

She married Jack on January 12th, 1974, and pursued her education career first at Suburban Pre-School, Menomonee Falls, then the Richfield School district as a Kindergarten teacher and later as a First-Grade teacher until retiring in 2012. Her greatest professional joy was teaching children to read and she often talked of the happiness of seeing a student grow into a reader during her year with them.

She was a 51-year member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Erin, WI serving in almost every volunteer role possible. Charmaine loved to travel, walk in the outdoors with any of her Brittanys for hours at a time, cross-country ski, snowshoe, read, tend to her flower gardens or cozy up with a movie or puzzle at the cabin up north. Her children and grandchildren were a source of pride, joy and new adventures.

Remaining to cherish her memories are husband Jack, daughter Erin (Sachin) Pandya, son Jason (Becky) Duehring, grandchildren Violet, Hazel, & Darwin Pandya and Jamison & Christopher Duehring, and walking partner Casey (the Britanny). She is further cherished by sisters, Robin (Doug) Staffin, Pauline (Jay) Phillips and Laura (Kevin) Walther; brothers & sisters in-law Gail (Frank) Blau, Mary (Nick) Miller, Dennis Duehring; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents Robert (Bud) and Arline Sherman, father and mother in-law Kenneth and Elizabeth (Toots) Duehring.
