Richard D. Chartier long time resident of Merton and Lake Keesus passed away on August 23, 2025 at the age of 97 years. Beloved husband of the late Mary Lou. Loving dad of Sandra (Jerry) Wolfgram, Barbara (Larry) Scott, Joan (James) Mulhall and Jack Chartier, Proud grandpa of 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, he is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Airforce, he retired from Briggs and Stratton after 40 years of service.

A celebration of Richards life will held Friday September 12, 2025 at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home Sussex W250 N6505 Hwy. 164 Sussex, WI. 53089, a memorial gathering will begin at 1:00pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm.
