Janet Elizabeth Oleson, age 82, passed away peacefully on August 24th, 2025. She was born April 21st, 1943, to loving parents, Muriel (nee Chartrand) and Royance Cecil McLean, in Sault Saint Marie, Michigan. She married Jim Boughner in 1963 and raised her family in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. She worked as a talented Seamstress/Tailor at Marshall Fields, Boston Store and a Bridal Shop. She was a wonderful cook and baker. She enjoyed reading, conquering puzzles and took pride in her many DIY home projects. Most importantly, she was an amazing and supportive mom.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Muriel “Dee Dee”, and husband Jim Boughner and later husband Charles Oleson. She is survived by her sister Margaret, her two sons John (Anita) Boughner and Jerry (Kim) Boughner. She had many grandchildren but was especially close to Zachary, Jessy, and Ryleigh as well as her step-grandchildren Logan and Carson. Janet is also survived by several dear life-long friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025 from 4-6PM at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, N84 W17937 Menomonee Ave, Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lawlis Family Hospice would be appreciated.

 (Menomonee Ave is under construction and the funeral home main entrance is open for traffic coming westbound from Appleton Ave. but not east bound. There are two other entrances to the Funeral Home. One is on the east side off of Shady Lane and the other is on the southwest side off of Town Hall Rd.)
