Elaine Ann Boehm
December 23, 1937 - July 3, 2025

Elaine Ann Boehm found peace on July 3, 2025 at the age of 87. Preceded in death by her parents Mae Piekarski and Victor Schmidt.  Loving wife for 65 years to James (Jim) Boehm who married in 1960 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Dear mother of Vicki (Paul) Fehrenbach, Shelley (Frank) Boehm-Mattia, and Bobbi Boehm (Jenny Alexander), five grandchildren, Alex  (Caitlin) Fehrenbach, Dan Fehrenbach (Samantha Kraczek), Luke (Morgan) Fehrenbach, Kassie (Greg) Palmer, and Eddie (Joohee) Mattia and five great-grandchildren, Fia, Evie, Lincoln, Hallie, and Annika. Elaine was an only child and Jim’s many siblings welcomed her into the family and developed life-long friendships.

She was born and raised in Junction City, Wisconsin, attending Junction City Grade School from kindergarten through 7th grade. She attended Emerson Junior High in Stevens Point in 8th grade, graduated high school from PJ Jacobs in Stevens Point, class of 1955, and went on to receive an Associate’s Degree at UW-Stevens Point.  She held various jobs over the years at Sentry Insurance in Stevens Point, which she was very proud of, Marshfield Junior High School, Marshfield Clinic Pharmacy, and then became our “domestic engineer” to raise three daughters.

As the daughters moved on to school, she returned to some of her most loved interests including theatre, music, pets, volunteering, crafting, travel, and visiting with friends. She established and performed in a children’s theatre group called the Traveling Trunk in Marshfield for over 15 years bringing enjoyment to many grade schoolers. She volunteered in many capacities including in Marshfield for Meals on Wheels, Camp Fire Girls, Saint Joseph’s Hospital Waiting Room and the Cancer Van in Milwaukee later on.

She and Jim moved to Menomonee Falls to be nearer to grown children and new grandchildren. The camping and RV’ing across the United States started and they visited all states except Alaska and Hawaii. After the RV years, they bought a “winter cottage” in The Wells, Mesa, Arizona where they enjoyed sunshine, more theatre, no snow and many visits from family and friends. She was director of the Community Choir at The Wells for several years and always enjoyed playing piano by ear. She was a very creative person and enjoyed crafting, decorating, and making jewelry.  Her real love however was always her pets…goats, cats, dogs, so many wonderful companions, and her grand-pets. She is with them all again which makes us smile.

The last few years of her journey were spent enjoying time with grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives, in-laws, family and friends, and neighbors at Autumn Ridge Condominiums of Germantown.

Many thanks to the staff and caregivers at Froedtert Hospital, Lutheran Home Rehab Unit, Courtney Russell with Assisted Living Advocates, Vista Point Assisted Living, The Gables of Germantown, Preceptor Hospice, Always Best Care, and all the friends and family who helped and supported us along the way.

A visitation will be held on July 10, 2025 from 1:00-2:30pm followed by a memorial service at 2:30pm, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, N84 W17937 Menomonee Ave, Menomonee Falls, WI, 262-251-3630.
