Went Home to the Lord on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Christine (nee Tank) for 41 years.  Loving father of Ricardo (Alex) and Arturo. Dear brother of John Sparrow (Shirley Hamilton). Cherished brother-in-law of Gretchen (Warren) Simonsen and John Tank. Proud uncle of Seth Sparrow, Jasen Catrina) Sparrow, Elizabeth (David) Taylor, Rachel (Nathan) Nanfeldt, Rebecca Branden) McKinney, Ingrid (P.J.) Tank and Heidi Tank. Further survived by other relatives and friends.  Preceded in death by his brother Leonard “Woody” and parents, Kendrick and Joan Sparrow.

Peter was born and grew up on Cape Cod, MA.  He graduated from Northern Colorado University with a BA in Education/focus in Mathematics.  He later earned an associate degree for Physical Therapist Assistant from Milwaukee Area Technical College.  He greatly enjoyed working at Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Hospital. The outdoors was his place, and he enjoyed cross country skiing, white water canoeing, and biking.  Peter struggled with the physical and mental complexities of Parkinsons disease for over 25 years. Chess, backgammon, and cribbage never filled his need to do outdoor activities, even when riding his lawnmower to trim trees, load brush and manage the yard.    

Visitation will be on August 9, 11:00 service 12:00 at St. Pauls United Church of Christ Church – Menomonee Falls; N89W16856 Appleton Ave. Peter will be privately buried at Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon. In lieu of flowers memorials in Peter’s name to St. Pauls UCC, Menomonee Falls Historical Society or Sussex-Lisbon Historical Society are greatly appreciated.
