Greg Reilly, age 60, of Sussex, Wisconsin, passed away on June 4th, 2025, surrounded by the people who loved him most. Born on April 19th, 1965, in Milwaukee, Greg lived a life marked by laughter, loyalty, and a deep love for his family.
Greg was the beloved husband of Shelli Reilly (nee Johnson) for nearly 36 years. Proud father to Chelsi (Max) Jentsch, Alec (Hailey), Brent (Alex), and Delaney (Al) Hendrickson. Grandparent to Weston, Archie, and Jack, who brought endless joy to his life.
He is survived by his mother, Rosemary Reilly, and his sister, Carrie Horder, other relatives and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Angela, his father, Edward Reilly, and his sister, Tricia Clemmensen. Their memories remained close to his heart, and their absence was deeply felt in his life.
Known for his sharp sarcasm and quick wit, Greg had a way of making people laugh and thoroughly enjoyed “poking the bear”. Whether it was teasing just enough to get a rise out of someone or tossing out a perfectly timed one-liner, Greg thrived on stirring the pot in the most loving (and hilarious) way possible.
He loved the simple things in life: a cold Busch Light, his loyal dogs, time spent hunting with his Uncle Owen, and, most of all, his growing family.
Greg’s presence was steady, his humor unforgettable, and his love for family unwavering. He will be missed more than words can say.
A visitation will be Tuesday June 10, 2025 at St. James Catholic Church, W220 N6588 Town Line Rd. in Menomonee Falls from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 11am. Burial to follow.
In the meantime, raise a Busch Light in his honor—and if you feel like gently poking the bear, know he’s smiling somewhere, cheering you on.
Memorials in Greg’s honor to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
