Muriel R. Hadfield, age 100, passed away on April 27, 2025. She was born on July 4, 1924, to Roland and Corral Koch and was very proud to be an Independence Day baby and was known for wearing flag themed scarves throughout her life in honor of that fact. She married Raymond G. Hadfield on June 2, 1951, at Summerfield Methodist Church in Milwaukee. They shared 56 years of marriage until Ray’s passing in 2007. Muriel was a long-time resident of Glendale where she and Ray raised their family. Beloved mother of Lynn Hadfield and Brad (Sandra) Hadfield. Proud and loving grandma to Alicia (Robert) Godsey, Jessica (John Slayton) Hadfield, Courtney (Tony) Reese, and Melissa (Alex) Goecks. Dear great-grandma of Isabella, Faith (step great-granddaughter),Noelle, Luke, Lincoln, Henry who resides in heaven with his great grandparents, Nora, and baby girl Sydney on the way. Muriel’s family was grateful to be able to host a celebration honoring her 100th birthday this past summer. A small family gathering will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, 10280 N. Port Washington Road, in Mequon with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. David Guse officiating. She will be laid to rest next to Ray in Valhalla Memorial Cemetery on Monday, May 5, 2025.
