Mike was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. He attended St. Hedwig’s Grade School where he made many life-long friends. He served in the U.S. Army. He received a degree from MATC in computer programming. He worked for 20+ years at Assurant Insurance Company receiving progressively more challenging roles and was ultimately promoted to Software Engineer prior to retirement in 2008.

Nothing was more important to Mike than his family. He was a loving husband and father. His grandson was his pride and joy. He was the most caring and compassionate person, later in life caring for his mother and eventually his mother-in-law. He was a light and guide in life to many others.

Mike was a huge animal lover, especially dogs. He was preceded in death by his dogs Princess, Trixie, Tuffy, Star, Rex, and Oreo.

Mike loved history and traveling and was able to fulfill his life-long dream of traveling to Europe in 2010. He also loved taking cruises with his wife. He loved sports, particularly The Green Bay Packers, The Milwaukee Brewers, The Wisconsin Badgers, and Marquette basketball, and enjoyed attending baseball games.

Mike will be missed by many, but his integrity, dry sense of humor, compassion, kind-heartedness, and spirit will live on.
