GLENDALE, WI - Christopher A. Mickelson, 49, passed away peacefully after a valiant two-year battle with cancer on April 19, 2024. He fought the relentless disease with undaunting strength and determination.  He was born on May 23, 1974, in Marinette, WI.   He is survived by his father, Douglas J. Mickelson, brothers Hans (Sae) and Alexander (Ann), and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annette B. Mickelson.  He was dearly loved by his nephew, Ritten, and nieces, Anna and Jorie. 

Christopher was a graduate of Shorewood High School, Shorewood, WI. After graduation, he held various positions within the food service industry before becoming a customer services representative at Target; a job he took pride in and highly enjoyed. Christopher loved animals, in particular the Cheetah, and cherished visits to zoos and aquariums with friends and family. He especially enjoyed his cats, Rocci and Rita, who were both valued companions for many years. Christopher also enjoyed adult Lego, gaming with friends, music, the group Faith No More, All-Star Wrestling, and NBA basketball, especially the Milwaukee Bucks. 

The family is indebted to the loving and compassionate care provided by the Aurora Home Hospice team and the staff of Aurora Zilber Family Hospice.  We are especially grateful for the care and support provided by Kim. 

Visitation for Christopher will be held on Thursday, June 6, 4:00-6:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 6:00 pm at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, 10280 N Port Washington Rd, Mequon.  Food and fellowship to follow at the North Shore Country Club, 3100 W Country Club Dr, Mequon, WI, 53092.
