Gerald L. Moede
May 27, 1934 - March 22, 2024

Found peace on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the age of 89. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. Gerald was a hard working, tough man with a kind heart. Socially, he always had time to talk with neighbors when they came by the farm. He loved telling stories and sharing his family history to those who would listen. Travelling was very important to Gerald- as little as driving on the countryside looking at the agriculture or as great as visiting places like New Orleans, Canada, Seattle, New York, the Carolinas, and the Midwest. Was always up for a road trip to places in Wisconsin like Sheboygan, New Glarus, Southeastern/Central Wisconsin, and Lake Michigan parks.

He was a veteran of the Korean war. Going out to lunch was always a special treat to Gerald where his favorite meal was a hamburger with raw onion and an amber beer. He loved animals especially dogs, cattle, and horses. Feeding the cats fresh milk gave him great joy. He collected beer cans, model cars, pocket watches, and photos of his family. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. The teams he supported were the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the 50s and 60s Milwaukee Braves, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Green Bay Packers. In general, he just loved life. Always smiling while going on walks on the farm. He’ll be missed by those who loved him.

Gerald will be laid to rest on at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery, Hwy 164/Busse Road in Pewaukee. Pastor Dean Zemple will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wounded Warrior Foundation are appreciated.
