Rose passed away March 18, 2024 at the age of 82.  Beloved wife of Clyde Leibundgut for 57 years.  Loving mother of Laurie (Mark) Sizer, Derek Leibundgut and Mike (Shelly) Leibundgut, grandmother to Derek (Becky), Amanda (Mike), Ryan (Kayla), Austin and great grandmother to Brock, Logan, Blake, Grayson, Weston, Oden and Athena Rose.  Sister to the late Earl (the late Louise) Tarnowski, and the late Gerald (Patricia) Tarnowski. Further survived by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Rose was a caring, kind, thoughtful, outgoing, friendly, and fun-loving mother/wife who enjoyed being with friends and family whenever possible.  She found joy in hosting parties at her home, cooking goodies for her family, playing cards and other games, Gardening, riding on the motorcycle with Clyde, traveling, and watching movies and attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting or other event.  She loved the water and spending time on their ski boat in Wisconsin and Tennessee when the weather permitted.

Rose grew up in West Allis, Wisconsin and graduated from Mercy catholic high school in 1960.  She attended beauty school after high school, then worked as a beautician for many years. In the mid 70’s, finally, she got a job at Briggs & Stratton where she retired after 30+ years.  After retiring from Brigg’s & Stratton, she and Clyde moved to Sevierville, Tennessee where they spent 15 fun-filled years exploring the area and enjoying retirement.

Rose was a wonderful mother, wife, and person and will be greatly missed by countless friends and family.

Memorial visitation will be held Tuesday March 26, 2024 at St. Charles Catholic Church 313 Circle Dr. Hartland from 1pm until Mass of Christian Burial at 2pm. Rose will be laid to rest with her husband Clyde privately at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.

A memorial fund has been established in Rose's name to be used for Alzheimer's research.
