Found peace at the age of 76 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Beloved mother of Steve (HeatherJoy) Boi and Tara Reimer. Proceeded in death by father Richard Schmidt, mother Rosemarie Weink, and brother James Schmidt.

Barbara was known to many of her friends as Bobbye. She was born in Milwaukee but grew up in Menomonee Falls, where she attended high school. She completed her associates degree in Business at WCTC in 1973 and went on to work at MGIC for over 30 years, retiring in 2008. She also worked part-time at Karl’s Country Market in Menomonee Falls in the 1980’s before moving to Milwaukee in 1991.

Barbara loved animals and was a volunteer at the Wisconsin Humane Society for many years. She made many dear friends at Warnimont Dog Park and the former Runway dog park, walking there regularly with her dogs Otis and Fiona (now deceased) and Dora. She was an avid reader and gardener. She made friends everywhere she went with her gregarious and easy-going nature.  Her spirit and laughter will be missed.
