Tom and Nick,
My deepest sympathy on the death of your wonderful mom, Sue. I have such great memories of her from both my Washington School days when you both were in Elementary School, and also in the late 90's when I was associate principal at Whitman Middle School and her summer school office was housed there. Her awesome sense of humor was so special. My fondest memory from over 40 years ago was when I sent a parent newsletter home and spelled the word Separate...Seperate. Your mom sent me the most humorous note reminding me that there was A RAT in Separate. I've never spelled that word wrong again...and think of her every time I write it. My wife and I are out of town until next Tuesday, so I will not be able to attend Saturdays service. But, please know, I will always hold a special memory of what a grand lady Sue Long was from my years in education where our paths crossed. My sympathy to both of you and your families on loosing her.

Sue was such a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, grandma, coworker and friend. She was thoughtful, selfless, loving, creative, always cheerful, witty. Words can't describe how wonderful she was. I miss her so.

Tom & Nick,
I'm so sorry for your loss! I'm sure you both know how much your Mom was loved & appreciated by those of us who had the pleasure of working with her at Jefferson over the years. She truly was a special person and I will never forget her!
