(nee Bauer) Went Home to the Lord on October 3, 2022 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of Gary for 58 years. Loving mother of Jennifer (the late Mathew) Yost, Daniel (Sara) Schmitt and Mark (Amiee) Schmitt. Devoted grandmother of Samantha Yost, Ben Schmitt, Maghan (Dave) Wankowski, Mackenzie Schmitt, Spencer Schmitt, Zak Siller and Brittney Arata. Cherished great-grandmother Caledon, Macklen, Rae and Axel. Dear sister-in-law of Tom Franzen and Lynn (Richard) Jaeck. Preceded in death by her sister Georgia Franzen. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Suzanne and I met in the fall of 1961. We were 16 and 17. We fell in love and at 19 and 20 eloped and were married September 9, 1964. Along came a surprise, she had twins. Jennifer and Daniel were born on April 20, 1965. Mark was then born on November 9, 1968.
My dad had an apartment building on 48th and Burleigh. We remodeled it and we moved in. Suzie has said that living there with the kids was a very happy time. Soon, Sue wanted to return to work and save money for a home. In 1972 she went back to Briggs & Stratton and worked there for 30 years. While working there, she met two life long friends; Kathy Steliga and Jeanne Rodriquez. We found and bought a home in Menomonee Falls in 1972. It was a ways out of the city on 190th Street. It was a year old on a large lot in the country. I was working at Golden Guernsey Dairy in the garage in Waukesha for 46 years. Along the way, our family did yearly trips all over the country, out West, Florida many times, and Las Vegas to name a few. We also went to England, Scottland and Wales with my parents Jack and Bernice, and sister and brother-in-law Lynn and Dick. Camping in tents, trailers, or motorhome during the summer; snowmobiling in the winter.
Sue’s parents, Bill and Mary, bought a cottage on Random Lake. For 20 years the kids enjoyed staying all summer at the lake and we came up on weekends. Sue had plant shutdowns so she had time for the lake. Our children all got married and raised families of their own. Suzie loved her 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She would always get excited when talking or facetiming with them.
We had a very nice house in a great location so Suzie enjoyed many holiday, including every Christmas and many birthday parties, starting in 1972. Life was good for us after retirement.
The last 2 years, Sue started having medical issues. She took them all on and conquered most. I was always there to help her, but in the end they became too overwhelming.
The two of us did it together for 60 years. We had a wonderful life and built a beautiful family together. I and our family will miss her forever. I love you and miss you Dear. - Your loving husband Gary
