Born April 22, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on October 2, 2022 at the age of 86.

Cherished husband of 61 years to Patricia “Patsy" (nee Shields). Proud father of Erin (Mark) O’Keefe, Mary (the late Christopher) Schelble, Kevin (Krista) Casey, and Thomas (Kameran) Casey. He was lovingly known as “Papa" to his 10 grandchildren, Tim (Natalie), Kenan (Jen) and Katie O’Keefe; Casey, Thomas (Caroline), Grace (Will) and George Schelble; Sam, Jake and Zach Casey, and 4 great grandchildren.  Brother of Mary Ellen Kuesel and the late Patrick and Paul Casey.  Further survived by many relatives and dear lifelong friends.

Michael attended St. Robert grade school in Shorewood, Marquette University High School, and graduated from Marquette University with a degree in Business Administration.

He immediately took a job working in advertising as an account executive but  decided to pursue a career in real estate ultimately establishing his own firm, Casey & Co. in Mequon (1970). Fulfilling his dream of real estate development, he built Mequon Court (1987) and Mequon Court II (1996) with commercial shops and offices.

He was passionate about art and became a professional artist gaining inspiration through his love of travel from Door County and Holy Hill to the cities in Europe he so loved to explore with his wife Patsy.  Michael also exhibited his work in many shows and received honors and recognition for a series called, Privileged Planet.  He was a member of the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Chicago Institute of Art. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren keeping up with the latest traveling art exhibits.

A devoted Christian and long-time member of Lumen Christi church, Michael was also a committed board member and leader of FaithWalkers, a men’s Bible study group.   He lived an exemplary life of service to God and others.   He inspired us all.

We will dearly miss Papa’s contagious laugh, love of bread baskets, continuous compliments, kissing his sweetheart Patsy and his WOW, WOW, WOW!
