It is a heartbreaking time when we have to say 'good-bye' to such a beautiful and kind person. Thinking of you, Wai, and your family, and my wishes of strength and comfort for you all.

I am so sorry to hear about Professor Kincaid's passing. He was always so kind, patient and welcomed me to his lab. He changed my life and the way I look at Science for 11 years under his supervision from July 2011- July 2022.

My deepest sympathies are with you and your family. Please know that I am praying for your peace and comfort during this difficult time. Rest In Peace Prof. Kincaid.

My sincere condolences to the Kincaid family. Dr Kincaid will be remembered for his kindness and nurturing spirit. He saw the best in each of us as his students. Indeed his was a life well lived for others. He would be greatly missed.

Dear Wai,
I am very sorry to hear about your husband James' passing. You and your family have my deepest sympathy.

~ Carol Cantieri, Waukesha, WI

I am deeply saddened by the news. My deepest condolence to Jim's family, especially to Wai.

As an international student in Dr. Spiro's group at Princeton in the early 80s, Jim was one of the first batch of genuinely kind persons from whom I learnt so much and got so much help in my study. Our friendship remained for over 40 years. I remember the very enjoyable and happy gathering times when Jim visited Hong Kong over the last 30+ years...

Jim will certainly be missed.

~ Xiaoyuan Li, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, NJ

To all my cousins and Jim’s family I am so sorry. Jimmy was always kind of a mystery to me (being one of the littler cousins) ?? But as I grew older it was profound to learn and understand more about his life’s accomplishments with research (a passion of my own). I would love to read any of Jim’s publications. With heartfelt condolences, cousin Cathy and John

Our deepest sympathy to Jim’s family. We cherish all the time that we were able to spend with Jim discussing all of our common thoughts and love of Indian and Thai food. We also shared our love for Ellen and her sweet family. He will be missed.
