She married Erick Blomgren after a lengthy 12-year courtship on December 30, 2005 and they settled in Menomonee Falls. Together they shared a love of family, gardening, music, and travel. She greatly enjoyed cruising, and together with Erick they explored Alaska, the Caribbean, the Mexican Riviera and Sea of Cortez, Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, and Bora Bora.
