I only met her a few times, but she was wonderfully warm and funny. I admired both her sense of style and humor. I'm sorry for your loss.

Joan was such a special person. I worked at an elementary school in Milwaukee and I knew whenever she came and substituted in the classroom we would have a wonderful day! She was an exceptional teacher and was loved by all the children.
