Douglas H. J. Trost
June 9, 1936 - March 10, 2022
        

Doug Trost, age 85 of Menomonee Falls, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022 after a long road traveled with many miles under his belt. He always said “All I need is a wheel in my hand and four on the road.”

Doug is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Janice Fay (nee Donlevy) Trost; his children Judy Fleener, Debbie Radermacher (Willie Weissman), Jennifer (Rick) Cortez and Doug (April) Trost; cherished grandchildren, Renee, Jennifer, Jonathan (Christina), Erick, Danielle (Luis), Ethan, Jacob, Mya (Justin), Andrew and Douglas; cherished great grandchildren; Ashley (Manuel), Alexander, Anya (Lucas), Joslynn, Julian and Jackson; cherished great-great grandchildren; newborn twins Coby and Caden; and his dear brother Randy (Delia) Trost. He is further survived by many loved nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Lorraine (Rusch) Trost and his in-laws, Phillip and Jeanette Donlevy; his brother, Donovan Trost and his sister-in-law, Phyllis Richie; and was predeceased by many other family and friends.

After high school Doug joined the U.S. Army. Doug wore many hats over the years. He worked for the the Milwaukee road as a line switcher. He was a plumbers assistant, he also owned his own dump truck working on the Milwaukee county freeway system. Doug was a professional truck driver for various companies, with over 28 years of accident free service. He was a proud retired Teamster of Local 200.

After retiring Doug enjoyed spending many summers at Green Lake. He also enjoyed running the Schlotzky’s Deli car show with his son, Doug, and taking long drives in his Cadillac. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, enjoying Captain & Cokes!

Doug is gone from this earth but will forever be in our hearts.
