(nee Vandermuss) 89, Went to be with her Lord and Savior October 17, 2021. Longtime resident of Menomonee Falls and Lake Arrowhead Nekoosa, WI. Born June 15, 1932 in Green Bay, WI to the late Ernest and Dora (Seiler) Vandermuss. Before meeting Dale she worked as a candy striper and telephone operator in Green Bay. She married Dale Earl Schmidt May 14, 1954 this year celebrating 67 years of marriage. While raising a family she was a Brownie and Blue Bird leader, cheerleading coach, worked at department stores Gimbels and Penney’s and volunteered at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Parish Menomonee Falls singing in choir and other activities within the parish. Dale and Barbara are avid PACKER BACKER season ticket holders since 1950’s they rarely missed a game. She was also a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers. Barbara loved participating in craft fairs with her crafts, drawings and paintings, shopping antiques, golfing, horse shoes, darts, playing cards with friends, nature, cooking, red hat ladies, hospital volunteer at CMH and spending time with her dogs and kitties.

She was proud and blest with grandchildren: Grandson Joseph and Elizabeth Tepp of Menomonee Falls, Step-grandsons, Asher and Caden Bond of Germantown, Step-grandson Brandon Sterr, Theresa and five granddaughters, Kristal (Tepp) and Tim Savasta of Franklin, Jennie (Ahrens) and Chris Samson of Menomonee Falls, Kiara (Maddux) and David Bond of Germantown, Jaela (Maddux) and Bart Anderson, Adams, Lydia Semo and Beau Bernhoft of Sister Bay. In addition lovingly blest with ten great-grandchildren; Lincoln, Eden and Everly Tepp, Louis and twins Lilah and Lucy Savasta, Sofia Samson, Evie Bond and Johnse and Matthew Anderson.

Survivors include: Their pet cat Tracie who traveled with them from log cabin in Nekoosa, senior apartment in Menomonee Falls and Assisted Living in Menomonee Falls. Four daughters and four son-in-laws, Diane and Jim Tepp of Menomonee Falls, Susan and Jay Maddux of Lannon, Bridget and Scott of Menomonee Falls and Michele and Kevin Sterr of Mayville, two sisters Mary Fabry and the late Mike Fabry of MN and Shirley Vandermuss of GB. Cousin Rose Nowak of Brookfield, best friends Dale and Midge Lancelle of Menomonee Falls and God daughter Julie Lancelle-Keller along with friends and acquaintances.

Celebration of Barb’s life will be Thursday October 21st at ST. MARY’S PARISH CHURCH, N89 W16297 Cleveland Avenue, in Menomonee Falls with visitation at 9:30 am – 10:30 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Private Entombment.
