Peggie A. Olander
November 11, 1952 - May 9, 2021

Peggie A. (Bresciano) Olander was gathered into the loving arms of the Lord on May 9th, 2021 surrounded by her family, after a year-long courageous battle with lung cancer.  Our loss is great, but her gain is heavenly.

Peggie was born to Stephen and LaVonne (Daczewitz) Bresciano on November 11, 1952 in Racine, Wisconsin.  She attended Racine schools and graduated from Horlick High School in 1970.  Peggie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 1975.

While attending Parkside she met the love of her life, Michael Olander.  They married in 1974 at St. Rita’s Church in Racine. She and Michael raised a wonderful son, Robert Michael Olander.  He and his wife Shannon, and their three sons, Stephen, Jonathan, and Christian brought so much love and joy to Peg’s heart.

Peggie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to 3 adoring grandsons, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law and friend to so many. She was a member of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church and spent many hours in their adoration chapel.

Peggie loved her gardens and the tulips were standing beautifully tall on the day she passed. In their almost 47 years of marriage, Mike and Peggie were able to enjoy some travel, one destination being a wonderful trip to Italy which was on the top of Peg’s list.

In the months before she passed, Peg passionately completed several pieces of beaded art work, one of which was of the Crucified Jesus. It illuminates their home with a special presence.

Peggie is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Michael, her son Rob, daughter-in-law Shannon, grandsons, Stephen, Jonathan and Christian.  She is also survived by her mother, LaVonne Bresciano. Her sisters, Terrie (Richard) Foster, Cathie (Ron) Pankowski , Sandie (Mike) Jacob, Carolyn (Pete) Haman, and brother Bart (Patty) Bresciano, Her nephews, Andrew (Erin) Bresciano and Trever (Estefania Soto-Roman) Bresciano. She is further survived by her sisters-in law, Martha Olander, Catherine (Terry) Van Treeck, brothers-in-law Donald Olander Jr., Christopher (Jennifer) Olander. Nieces, Chelsea (John) Miller, Jillian Olander, Megan (John) Hundertmark, Alicia (Brad) Boecher and nephews, Paul (Rachael) Olander, Aaron Van Treeck, Austin (Sydney) Van Treeck.

She was preceded in death by her father Stephen Bresciano and her father and mother-in-law, Donald and Shirley Olander.
