Remember our ski trip in Steamboat Springs? It snowed and snowed and snowed and then the bus picked you up and you flew away. My experience suggests you have been grieving for years while allowing Rip a quality of life. Good on you Karen, Bevin and Kristen. My thoughts are with you. Judith Craig Travis

Dear Karen, Bevin, & Kristen,
Please accept our condolences at this difficult time. We fondly remember visiting with Rip when he joined us at our table for Ricky Lindemann's funeral reception. Rip now stands for "Rest In Peace."

Dear Karen,
Some weeks the Sunday obits bring us reminders of the friends we shared important times with: Rip and you, horses, and Rotary. Thank you for the time together and may your memories sustain you in the months ahead.

Expressing our deepest sympathy to Rip's wonderful family at this time of great loss. Rip was a true gentleman. He loved his family and was proud of his children and grandchildren. He did well in all he set out to accomplish. May you find comfort in your memories of Rip, the love of family and friends, and God's love.

Karen: You may not remember me as it’s been many years since we’ve had any contact. Rip and I worked together at First Wisconsin and eventually he took over my role at the bank. Rip was a bright light in all of his endeavors. I was sad to read of his death. My condolences to you and your family. Sorry for your loss, Ron Shapiro

~ Ron Shapiro , Milwaukee

It was a pleasure having Rip as a colleague and friend in the First Wisconsin/Firstar days. He's in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. May Rip continue to run marathons, ride motorcycles, and sail the lakes and seas unbound from limitations.
