John was our loved one and friend for 50 wonderful years. He was born and lived most of his life in Milwaukee. He worked hard and accomplished his goal of owning his own successful accounting business JDBC Tax Services and MKE Tax Coach. He made a name for himself in Milwaukee by being part of and a leader in many local organizations such as Local First and the LGBT Chamber of Commerce. In 2019, he was awarded the Business Leader of the Year from the LGBT Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed his work, and was in the process of growing his business even further.

John was known for his joyful outlook on life. He loved spending time with his friends and family, trying new restaurants, traveling, making breakfast for his husband, and loved to “putz”.

There was always a smile on his face and everyone loved his infectious laugh. He will be forever remembered by his husband Kyle Pruess, his nephew Elijah Leidy, his extended family, and vast number of friends.

He was preceded by his parents Gene Leidy and Suzanne Lecher and brother Richard Leidy.

There will be a Celebration of Life for John on Sunday, September 13th from 1-4pm with Reflections of John’s Life at 3pm.
