Kimberly A. Bodus
March 24, 1965 - June 29, 2020

Kimberly Ann Bodus (nee Reinhard) passed away peacefully on June 29th, 2020 at the age of 55. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many, and will be greatly missed.

Kim was born in Milwaukee on March 24, 1965 to the luckiest parents in the world, Susan and Richard Reinhard. Kim was then blessed with her sister 360 days later, Renée Reinhard Geller, and her amazing brother six years later, Scott Reinhard.

She grew up in West Allis, WI and graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1983. She attended Marquette University and continued on to earn her associate degree in Human and Legal Services from Bryant & Stratton College.

Kim started her career as a legal assistant and enjoyed working for Quarles & Brady LLP for over 15 years, where she made lifelong friends. She then went on to work for the Dean of the School of Nursing at Waukesha County Technical College. Kim was currently working for the law firm of Axley Brynelson LLP at their Waukesha office, where she began in April of 2018. She loved her position, her coworkers,  and the responsibilities; she always spoke so highly of the firm. Her coworkers described her as an exceptional legal assistant who brightened every room she was in.

Kim’s favorite activity was playing tennis. She started taking lessons when she was a little girl and continued to play through high school, where she was on the Varsity team. Her love for the sport continued and she joined the Wisconsin Athletic Club in Hartland, WI where she met many of her close friends. She also loved spending time with the dear friends she made throughout the Dousman and Lake Country area, where she lived for many years raising her family. She loved nothing more than spending time with those closest to her.

Kim was passionate about reading, and loved spending her time curled up with a good book. She could easily spend hours at Half Priced Books or Boswell Book Company. She loved watching movies old and new; often going to the Oriental Theater on Milwaukee’s East Side for their annual film festival. Some of her favorite things to do were shopping, trying new restaurants, and going to various flea markets with her sister, always on the hunt for that perfect, vintage treasure.

Kim would like you to know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of offer you can’t refuse, for an extended vacation to a beautiful beach in heaven. We imagine her there now, relaxing with her feet in the warm sand, a Bacardi Limon in hand, and her new favorite mystery novel on her lap. On the way to that beautiful beach, she of course stopped at her favorite little shops to pick up a few personal gifts to have ready for us, her friends, her family, for when we see her again. Always thoughtful, always thinking of others.

Our Kimmy was kindness and light, laughter and smiles, happiness and love. We feel blessed to have known her, and want to let her know that she did a great job organizing us, feeding us, loving us, and laughing with us (mainly laughing at us). She was most proud of watching her son Ben grow up to be the incredible young man that he has become. We wish her a safe journey home, and will always remember her smile, her warmth, her energy, her spirit, and generosity for her family and friends.

She is survived by her son Benjamin Bodus (fiancée Grace Irwin), mother and father Susan and Richard Reinhard, brother Scott Reinhard, sister Renée Geller and brother-in-law Mark Geller, and niece and nephew Auburn and Mason Geller.
