January 9, 1942 - February 20, 2020

"Donny" passed away peacefully at home on February 20, 2020 with his loving wife Mary by his side. He was born on January 9, 1942 in Milwaukee to Marge and Donald Thiemer. He was preceded in death by his father Donald, brothers Cliff Thiemer, David Thiemer and his son Steven Thiemer. Donny is survived by his wife of over 55 years Mary (nee Katzka), and sisters Judy Sellers and Sharon Islo as well as many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Donny had many close friends that he enjoyed spending time with. After serving our country in the U.S. Marine Corps, he worked as a foreman for many years at the JC Penny warehouse in Milwaukee. In 1972 he moved his family from Milwaukee to Oconomowoc where he and Mary raise thier son "Stevie", and remained there until his passing. Donny, a "jack of all trades", he enjoyed working on projects around his house and was always happy to lend a hand to friends and family. A frequent customer of Menards, he knew the floor plan better than the employees. Donny will be fondly remembered for his keen sense of humor and love of old time country music. Donny and Mary spent many years traveling to their second home in Arizona. They were constant companions and best friends.

A celebration of Donny's life will be held on March 6, 2020 from 6-9 pm. at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 117 W. Second St. in Oconomowoc.
