Sheryl,
I always wished that you would sit and enjoy, but that was not your way. I appreciated the way you looked after Mom and brought her treats and tried to make her more comfortable. You always looked for a way to help in any way you could. The world is a better place with the example you have given us. As I was thinking about what to write, a phrase came to me that made me think of you. You served well and loved much! Thank you for being such a good example. I love you!! GIWY

I’ve been at a loss of words upon hearing of your passing. While normally naturally concerned with how Mike will be, I’ve come to realize the magnitude of how your life has impacted ours.

You had such a servants heart and connected to the community through volunteer organizations, adopting a classroom, teaching Sunday school and readily offering a meal or an attentive ear. When you said “call me ANY time” you meant it! You showed through example how to be the Hands and Feet of Christ. You were selfless, sometimes pushing yourself past your limits. I can hear your words saying “Let me.”

Although you may not have officially held the title of “mother” you embodied unconditional love and support. Birthdays were adventures and we were comforted knowing our children had a trusted someone to share their troubles with if they needed an adult other than us to confide in. You found something unique in each soul to celebrate along with a special pet name.

We had some great adventures ... home shows, outings, cookie bakes and laughing until tears rolled down our cheeks. You loved fiercely. You cherished relationships and embraced us when ith all our quirks. Your home was always a welcome comforting place and we learned there was no way we would be able to leave before accepting a treat!

We all were so very blessed by not only having you be family but especially to call you friend. I know I will treasure the memories and strive to live by the example you set. Right now I struggle with the loss but as a believer I rejoice that you are free from all earthly limitations.
