(Nee Laedtke)  Born June 25, 1925 in Oshkosh, WI to William and Alma (nee Fahrbach) Laedtke.  Died peacefully on December 13, 2018 at the age of 93.   June graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1943 and Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, MN in 1947.  She received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1954, where she met her future husband Walter Schwartz.  They were married on August 11, 1956 in Oshkosh, WI.  June and Walter were blessed with three children, Linda Hutchins, Richard (Christine Slowinski) Schwartz  and  John (Sandy Grivett) Schwartz.

She is survived by her husband Walter, her brothers Ralph Laedtke and Glenn (Claire) Laedtke, sister Arline Sitter, her children Linda and Richard, four grandchildren and a great granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Lester, her son John and son-in-law Douglas Hutchins. 

June was active in Apostle Presbyterian Church and the Ravenswood Garden Club.  She enjoyed reading, cooking and baking (especially honey cookies for her family) and spending time with her family.  Her life on her family’s farm gave her an appreciation for nature, as well as her lifelong habit of rising early in the day. 

She worked enthusiastically throughout her life and was often making sure that everyone was “taken care of” and happy.  June was thrilled by her children and loved them tremendously.  Her grandchildren gave her special joy during their childhoods and as they grew into strong, capable adults.  She was happy to finally meet her great granddaughter and marveled at her beauty. 

Visitation for June will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Apostle Presbyterian Church, 1509 S. 76th Street, West Allis from 9 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 11 AM.  Entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park at 1:30 PM.  Please meet in the green parking area.  Memorials to Apostle Presbyterian Church appreciated.
