(nee Hjerpe) Born to Eternal Life on October 10, 2018 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of Samuel for 53 years. Cherished mother of Mark Alan (Kristi) and Lisa Suzanne. Beloved grandmother of Zachary Ryan and Zoe Catherine. Loving sister of Sue (Don) Phillips, Kent (Linda) Hjerpe, and the late Dale (Penny) Hjerpe. Sister-in-law of Suzanne (the late Blane) Lockwood. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Few words were needed to understand her. The light in her eyes spoke of a 7th grade acquaintance that blossomed into a 53 year marriage. Her laughter was filled with the joy she found in her husband and family. As a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother she loved with an unwavering passion, loyalty, and optimism. For family and friendship to earn her heart and trust, won you a champion for life.

A woman for whom no challenge was too great, no adventure too small, and no bridge too far; she met life on her own terms. Met life with a fierce determination, to become a lab technician, an accountant, president of philanthropic organizations, patron of the arts, and through her gardens created celebrations of natural beauty. She touched a great many people, helped to write their stories and her absence leaves them incomplete for now. Her spirit and our memories will continue to inspire us until we reunite for the next chapter.

Visitation at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 12 PM until time of Funeral Service at 2 PM. Private interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra are appreciated.
