David Sr. was born November 24th, 1944 to Daniel Snell Eppelsheimer and Marion Eppelsheimer (née Vaughan) in Exeter, NH and soon thereafter his family moved to Flicker Hill Farm in Phelps County, MO to raise livestock while his father taught in the metallurgy department at the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy in Rolla, MO. David Sr. dearly loved life and all that is living. After working for Honeywell and Rockwell Automation, he dedicated his final decades to working for environmental justice and against commercial development at the Milwaukee County Grounds. He was an award-winning amateur photographer for his work documenting the life of his fellow Missourian Jack Conroy, a radical and proletarian poet and novelist. He predicted the Brewers would win their first world championship for the 2018 season. He is survived by his wife, Francine and his son, David Jr.
