Dearest Mom, we know you felt badly because you could not speak anymore. And your body could not do those sky-high kicks like you did for so many years and you could not walk so fast that we could not keep up with you.   Finally, God decided it was time to call you home, to give you a pain-free body and the ability to converse with the angels.  I’m sure Dad was so happy to see you again after spending 59 years together on this earth.  And Grandma welcomed her daughter home with wide open arms and her beautiful smile.  All of your six children are so grateful that you were able to be here for 91 years.  Kathy, Paul, Jan, Colleen, Dave and Tom will always be thankful for your ability to do so much for all of us, knowing Dad had to work extra hard for such a big family.  You even had time for your own self-discovery, whether it was art appreciation, history, classical music, memorizing Shakespeare, playing bridge, wandering museums, learning anything you could about Egypt and stumping us time and time again with a complex new word.  Now you are ageless, free to be the spring wind in the trees, the scent of fresh-cut flowers, a melody of Mozart, the vibrant movement of Van Gogh colors, the hush before a fall thunderstorm about to begin.  All of those things, and more, will remind us of you, now and forever.
