Robin Beth Mateske
December 5, 1950 - April 16, 2018

Of Cedarburg (formerly of Glendale). Passed away peacefully on Monday, April 16th, 2018, at the age of 67 years. 

Robin was born in Milwaukee on December 5th, 1950 and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Dennis, her birth mother Patsy Zuelke, loving adoptive parents Jack and June Meyer, June and Bill Pape, half sibling Karen Grote, father-in-law Donald Mateske, mother-in-law Jeanette Mateske, cousins Marvin Lewin, Margaret Lewin, Steve Lewin and Sara Lewin. Dear mother of  Chad (Sara), Carrie Anne (Michael) Secklin and Megan. Robin is survived by her sister Lori (Karl) Fee, half siblings Deb Johnson, Mark Nelson, Barb Nelson Reed and Steven Nelson and sister-in-law of Colleen Mateske. She was the aunt of Katie (Shaun) Coates and Brian (Sara) Mateske and great-aunt of Delaney and Addison Coates and Nathan and Melanie Mateske.  Further survived by other relatives and friends. 

Growing up Robin enjoyed spending time cheerleading, singing in choir and serving as a member of Job’s Daughters at Custer High School.  Throughout her life she enjoyed reading about history, listening to a variety of music, antiquing and waving at the Pines in Door County.  Robin always cherished spending time with family whether it be dining out, sitting around a campfire or supporting her children’s pursuits and interests. She was Co-Owner of the Little People’s Shop in Cedarburg in the 1980’s before providing in home daycare for many families in the Glendale community as she raised her own children.  She spent over 20 years working with the elderly including serving as the Activities Director at Laurel Oaks and Seven Oaks where she enjoyed bringing joy and entertainment into the lives of her residents. 

Friends may greet the family on Saturday April 21st from 1:00PM until time of memorial service at 2:00 PM at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes,  13235 West Capitol Drive in Brookfield.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Robin’s name be made to Honor Flight (http://www.starsandstripeshonorflight.org), The Wisconsin Humane Society (www.wihumane.org), Adoption Services Inc. (https://www.adoptionservicesinc.com) and Interfaith Older Adult Programs (http://interfaithmilw.org).
